We are pleased to present selections from the journals of Veena Chatti, Biotechnology major in the College of Science. Veena was part of the three-quarter course, “The Cognitive Revolution: Interdisciplinary Studies in Evolutionary Science” directed by Profs. Mary Lynn Broe and Kristen Waterstram-Rich. She and other students read selections from the work of six high-profile scholars who were part of our 2006-07 speaker series, “Consilience: The Cognitive Revolution.” Students acquired detailed knowledge of aspects of evolutionary science that have had a profound impact on social behavior in various disciplines, such as biology, psychology, anthropology and medicine. Each of the students developed questions and conducted videotaped interviews with the visiting scholars.
