Watch this space for new courses, colloquia, exhibitions & other information developed by the Caroline Werner Gannett Project! We are pleased to present selections from the journals of Veena Chatti, Biotechnology major in the College of Science. Veena was part of the three-quarter course, “The Cognitive Revolution: Interdisciplinary Studies in Evolutionary Science” directed by Profs. Mary Lynn Broe and Kristen Waterstram-Rich. She and other students read selections from the work of six high-profile scholars who were part of our 2006-07 speaker series, “Consilience: The Cognitive Revolution.” Students acquired detailed knowledge of aspects of evolutionary science that have had a profound impact on social behavior in various disciplines, such as biology, psychology, anthropology and medicine. Each of the students developed questions and conducted videotaped interviews with the visiting scholars. Click here to view Veena Chatti’s journal [PDF] |
